Film on Prophet Muhammad in Theaters

Washington, DC: On Tuesday, October 12, Fine Media Group held a news conference in Washington, D.C., to announce the nationwide theatrical release of a feature-length animated film that chronicles the early life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

Release of “Muhammad: The Last Prophet” is scheduled to coincide with Eid ul-Fitr, the holiday marking the end of the Islamic fast of Ramadan.

The 90-minute film, produced by the creators of animated classics such as “The King and I” and “The Fox and the Hound” for Badr International, will be shown in theaters in 37 US and Canadian cities for one week beginning November 14. (SEE: Because of Islamic traditions prohibiting the visual representation of religious figures, no images of the Prophet Muhammad appear in the film.)
