A Role Model Student

Eqra Anam, a sixth grader at the Vallejo Mill Elementary School in Fremont, CA, has been a super student for two consecutive years. She earned straight A+ in all academic areas.

Eqra received both Principal’s Honor Roll and Principal’s award for outstanding academic performance.

She was also recommended for GATE (Gifted and Talented Education Program) in the subject area of math. She exceeded benchmark standards in math, language, spelling and all curriculum areas. Iimpressed by her sophisticated use of vocabulary and ideas her teacher presented Eqra ‘Future Author Award’ for excellence in writing in 2005. “ Eqra is an excellent role-model for others in our classes,” Mrs. Brown remarked in the sixth grade report card.
She will be attending Centerville Junior High School in Fremont, CA. Eqra is the daughter of Naeema and Zafar Khan, both of whom are of Pakistani origin.
