COPAA Eid-ul-Fitr Party
Postponed
Fullerton, California: The Council of
Pakistan American Affairs (COPAA) has announced that it
is postponing the Eid-ul-Fitr party which was scheduled
for Friday, November 11, 2005.
A COPAA press release states: “COPAA is deeply grieved
to hear about the horrific loss of lives and property caused
by the most intense earthquake to hit northern parts of
Pakistan in the last century. The images and reports of
the victims and damages in the earthquake area are heartbreaking.
We need to focus our energies to urgently aid the people
affected in the earthquake area.
“COPAA appeals to all Americans, Pakistani-Americans
and the world community to unite in their support of this
major natural disaster relief. COPAA encourages the world
community to provide their generous support for the immediate
assistance, search, recovery and rebuilding necessary after
