Harvard Invites Pakistani Neurologist


Lahore: A Pakistani neurologist has been invited by Harvard Medical University in Boston to conduct research. Dr Asif Hashmi, a consultant physician working as the University of Health Sciences Controller of Examinations, has been invited by Professor Christopher Walsh.
Walsh is regarded as among the top American medical scientists by the Howard-Hughes Medical Institute. The team will attempt to identify new genes related to disorders of human cerebral cortical development. Dr Hashmi said that he would primarily be focusing on children born from marriages between cousins.
