Second Annual Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi Celebration in San Diego

San Diego, CA: The Second Annual Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi was celebrated at the glittering hall of the Alliant International University, San Diego, on May 20, 2006. Organized under the aegis of the Khuda Bakash Rehmani Foundation, the function was hosted by Tasneem and Ghulam Farooq Rehmani here
After salat-ul-Asr the ceremony was inaugurated by the Tilawat-e-Kalam-e-Pak by Iqbal Ibrahim Subsequently, Hamd-e-Bari Taala was presented by Ghulam Farooq Rehmani and another beautiful Hamd was presented by Aunty Tanveer Jahan Sahiba. Naat Khani was presented by famous Riverside poetess Rehana Qamar Sahiba, Ghulam Farooq Rehamni,Tasneem Farooq Rehmani, Usman Farooq Rehmani, Zeeshan Rehamni, Ain-ul-Farooq Rehmani, brother Iqbal Ibrahim from Riverside, Bulbul-e-Momin Lodge Mohammad Anwar, Hafizurehman, Qamruddin and Dr. Rahil Tayeb of San Diego. World famous Qaseeda Burda Sharif was presented by nine-year old Rafey Zaman of Rancho Santa Fe, CA.Congratulations to Asra and Irfan Zaman, the boy’s parents on his performance.

The chief guest was Allama Doctor Kaukab Noorani Okarvi, son of Khateeb-e-Pakistan Allama Mohammad Shafi Okarvi Sahib who came all the way from Karachi, Pakistan, exclusively for attending this holy and blessed event. In his characteristic style he delivered an enlightening and captivating speech on the blessed Seerah of the Prophet - peace be upon him - , his family and his sahaba for about two hours. He praised the Prophet (pbuh) exactly like his exalted father used to praise him. He told the audience that salvation for the whole Ummah lies in following the footsteps of the Holy Prophet (pbuh). He said his blessed Seerah is an example for all humanity to follow. For complete success in this world and on the Day of Judgment we should follow his blessed Sunnah. Allama recited a beautiful naat and the audience joined in chorus which created a state of ecstasy. After the Allama’s awesome speech and naat khani, Ghulam Farooq Rehmani offered a Salaam Bahuzoor Sarwar-e-Kaunain, Tajdar-e-Medina Mohammad-e-Mustafa Sallalaho Aleyhey Wa Sullum. Allama Okarvi offered a beautiful, soul-stirring duaa and with this Milad 2006 came to an end.
