SAN Marches in Solidarity with Others

Los Angeles: Over a million people joined hands to protest the immigration bills now floating around in Congress, according to SAN. “Although the police estimated at least 500,000 – half a million marchers, the estimates were much higher than that. SAN was there in solidarity to protest Immigrant bashing and voice our deep concerns about unjust policies that target and dehumanize immigrants particularly communities of color, “ says a SAN email.
“Sadly, the South Asian presence was still dismally low. SAN will continue to inject its voice into this debate but we need to get the community to participate,” the SAN email concluded.
