CAIR-LA Is Celebrating 10 Years of Service

The Council on American-Islamic Relations Southern California Chapter is celebrating its decade of service to the Southern California Muslim community. An announcement to this effect says: “The chapter has grown into one of the strongest and most active voices in the region and across the nation. We thank Allah (swt)/God for His blessings and our very own community for its continuous support.
“We are ready to celebrate our work and achievements with the upcoming 2006 Annual Banquet. The Banquet will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2006. Renowned speakers will be Imam Siraj Wahhaj, of Masjid At-Taqwa, and Dr. Sulayman Nyang, professor of African Studies at Howard University. Comedy will be provided by Mohammad Amer.
