FOP Dinner in Honor of Consul General on Sept 17

Friends of Pakistan, USA (FOP) will host a Welcome Dinner in honor of the new Consul General of Pakistan in Los Angeles, Mr. Syed Ibne Abbas, on Sunday September 17th, 2006 at 7pm at the Shahnawaz Banquet Hall. The dinner will also serve as an ‘Appreciation Evening’ for the FOP Organizing Team members who had put their best effort in organizing the historical 59th Pakistan Independence Day celebrations on August 12th 2006 at the Exposition Park in Los Angeles, CA. The event was televised LIVE to 130 countries by ARY Digital Network.
According to Mr. Sarfaraz Khan, President, FOP the evening will be the first of its kind and prove to be a memorable one. “We are going to recognize and appreciate in a dignified manner hardworking members of the organizing committee, our sponsors, media and our well wishers and they will be awarded certificate of achievement by our chief guests. Entry to this evening will be on ‘Invitation Only’ basis,” he stated.
