Ambassador Durrani to
Visit Los Angeles
Los
Angeles, CA: H.E. Mr. Mahmud Ali Durrani, Ambassador of Pakistan,
shall be paying an official visit to Los Angeles, California
from 21-24 February 2007. During his stay in Los Angeles Ambassador
Durrani’s schedule includes calls on local dignitaries,
interaction with think tanks and media and to attend several
Pakistani-American community functions, says a Press Release
issued by the Consulate General of Pakistan. It adds:
The Ambassador would deliver a talk at RAND Corporation and
Los Angeles World Affairs Council. He would also be meeting
the Editorial Board of Los Angeles Times and the Editors of
ethnic media.
Council of Pakistani-American Affairs (COPAA), Pakistani-American
Leadership Center (PAL-C) and the Council of Pakistani-American
Chambers of Commerce are hosting events in the honor of the
Ambassador. A group of Pakistani-American entrepreneurs would
also be meeting the Ambassador to discuss investment opportunities
in Pakistan.
This will be the first ever official visit of Ambassador Mahmud
Ali Durrani to the West Coast since his assumption of office
in July 2006.
