Pakistani Student Wins US Scholarship

A Pakistani student has won a four-year Fulbright Scholarship at the University of New Mexico in the category of medicine and health.
Fatima Shami of Headstart School, Islamabad, presented her project 'Device for Speech Impaired and Deaf: Life Changing Communication, an Alternative to Sign Language' at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA from May 13-19, 2007.
Fifteen hundred students from over 50 countries compete for tuition grants, internships, scholarships and prize money in Intel ISEF held every year in the States.
