Harry Sidhu Receives Endorsement from Pakistani-American Business Leaders

Anaheim, CA: On Sunday, November 4, 2007, prominent Southern California Pakistani-American business leaders joined together at the Ayres Suites, Yorba Linda, California, to provide significant fundraising and campaign support for Anaheim Councilman Harry Sidhu in his candidacy for the 33rd State Senate District seat soon to be vacated due to term limits. This important community-building campaign event was hosted by local Pakistani-American businessmen, Navaz Malik and Tahir Baloch,
In addressing the gathering, Councilman Sidhu spoke of the importance of continuing the legacy of Dilip Singh Saund, the first Asian-American elected to Congress in 1956, and preserving the American Dream for the generations to come. “Mine is an American success story, and I am here to protect the American Dream,” explained Councilman Sidhu.
“I came to this country as a child and achieved the American Dream. At the heart of the American Dream is making a difference in our communities, and it is my goal to provide a representative ‘voice’ and leadership in government as a State Senator in Sacramento!”
“It is time for a fresh viewpoint and practical approach to problem solving in Sacramento on the significant issues of government spending, transportation, education, healthcare, and property rights,” stated Councilman Sidhu. “Change may only come about with your meaningful support. By working together, we will save and restore the dream of good schools, safe neighborhoods, and ongoing opportunity for all. Working together we will make a difference and be the change we want to see.”
