Irfan Murtaza Grieved
Idreesa Begum, mother of well-known poet
and writer Irfan Murtaza, died in Karachi on August 26, 2007.
Inna-Lil-Lahe-Wainna-Ilehe-Raajioon. She was a chronic patient
of diabetes and died of kidney failure.
Qur’an khwani was held at the Islamic Society of Orange
County, Garden Grove, on Sunday, September 2 and a large number
of Irfan’s friends and admirers joined him in praying
for the maghfira of his mother. The young and accomplished
poet and writer enjoys immense popularity in the community
and the gathering appeared visibly seized of his great loss.
