Shura Council’s Contribution to Firefighters Fund

Following the recent fires in Orange County and San Diego, the Islamic Shura Council visited the Fire Chiefs of both counties to recognize their diligent work. In addition, the Shura Council  made a financial contribution to the Firefighters Benevolent Fund.
In partnership with the San Diego branch of American Friends Services Committee (www.afsc.org) and  in coordination with the Islamic Center of San Diego (www.icsd.org), the Shura Council has sponsored rehabilitation of several fire-victims from the unincorporated rural areas.
Learning from the recent fire tragedy, the Islamic Shura Council has planned a campaign for “emergency preparedness” in partnership with the Fire Departments.
