COPAA Congratulates President-Elect

Los Angeles, CA: The Council of Pakistan American Affairs (COPAA) has congratulated President-elect Barack Obama “on his historic victory as the President of the United States of America. COPAA hopes that President-elect Obama will choose and follow the policy of dialogue and diplomacy over war and confrontation. COPAA further hopes that bilateral relations between the US and Pakistan will strengthen during Mr. Obama’s administration.”

A Press Release issued by COPAA adds: “This historic day comes at a time when extremely difficult issues confront the nation and the world.  Today’s challenges demand the resolve to make tough decisions that will provide long-term solutions rather than easy, short-term fixes. But where others see obstacles, great leaders perceive opportunities. We are confident that President-elect Obama will take this challenging time as an opportunity to make this great nation and the world a better place.”
