Mr. Waqar Ali Khan , Senior  Executive Producer  of Safeer e Pakistan, a popular community program aired on GEO  Television Network , was recognized at the 32nd Annual Convention of APPNA in San Francisco. Mr. Khan was given a special Presidential recognition award by APPNA’s President Dr. Syed Abdul Samad for his outstanding contribution and services to the Association for the past many years.

In the history of APPNA, this was the first ever award given to a non-physician member. Dr. Samad, in his introductory remarks, applauded Mr. Khan for his contribution and dedication to the organization for covering APPNA’s event and providing extensive coverage to all APPNA activities over the years. Mr. Khan not only covered the organization’s activities in his program but also played a key role in promoting APPNA and encouraging other non-member physicians to take an active part in the organization and sign up for membership.
