Dr. Mujahid Ghazi Takes over as Link’s Bureau Chief in Chicago


We are happy to announce that Dr. Mujahid Ghazi, a physician by education and a social activist, Urdu and English writer, orator, free lance journalist and broadcaster, has taken over as Bureau Chief, Pakistan Link, Chicago.

He is the pioneer of Pakistani TV in Chicago. His TV show Jeevay Pakistan was on air from 1994 to 2002. He is president of Asian Broadcasting Network, a non-profit community broadcasting corporation. His talk show on Sunday has a large audience in the US and Canada in addition to people in all continents of the world. He has been actively working on the social front of the South Asian Muslim community.

His talk show discusses community issues and matters concerning the South Asian community in general and Indo-Pak in particular. ABN (Asian Broadcasting Network) also presents religious programs, especially during Ramadan: its 1 ½ hours Sahoor show is very popular among the Muslim community.

In collaboration with IQRA’ International Educational Foundation also owns a TV and radio studio at IQRA’ headquarter in Skokie, Illinois.

He was appointed as a foreign correspondent in Chicago for US presidential campaign by Express News Pakistan


Through his writings and broadcasting he has supported the humanitarian causes and was instrumental in raising funds for victims of the earthquake in Pakistan, Tsunami in Asia, riots in Gujrat, India, and, most recently, the IDPs in Pakistan. His radio show played a pivotal role during the registration process imposed by the Government in 2002.

He has been helping organizations like HDF, Imran Cancer Appeal, Edhi Foundation, Helping Hands and many others. He was on the Board of Directors of the Hamdard Center for Health and Human Services. He was also president of the Chicago Chapter of the Al-shifa Eye Foundation.

He is the recipient of several awards from city and state and various community organizations. He is currently serving on the board of Metropolitan Asian Family Services, a human service organization helping the seniors. He is Director PR and Multimedia at IQRA’ International Educational Foundation.
