Peace For Pakistan Rally on May30 at 12 Noon

An email message received by Pakistan Link states: “Our object should be peace within, and peace without. We want to live peacefully and maintain cordial, friendly relations with our immediate neighbors and with the world at large.”
“We have no ambition beyond the desire to live honorably and let others live honorably.”
Quaid-i-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Dear Friends,
We would like to reiterate Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s desire for peace and prosperity for the Pakistani people, their neighbors and the world in general, by voicing our support against the spread of Taliban extremism in and around Pakistan and by our concern for the welfare of the internally displaced persons.
Come, make your support visible by joining us with all your family and friends, at the Peace for Pakistan Rally at noon on Saturday, May 30th at the Front Steps of City Hall. Help us make this rally a resounding success.
At 2pm PST on May 30th we encourage everyone to use your cell phones and text the word “Swat” — to the number 20222 and make a $5 contribution. You will receive a confirmation “yes” and this amount will be billed to your phone bill. Your donation will help the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in providing tents, clothing, food, and medicine to hundreds of thousands of affected people in Pakistan.
