Colorado Community Organizes Golf Tournament

The Pakistani-American Association of Colorado (PAAC) organized its first Annual Golf Tournament at the beautiful Aurora Hills Golf Club. The tournament was open to participation for all the communities of  Colorado. Fifteen teams belonging to different ethnic backgrounds participated in the tournament. It was followed by a dinner and prize distribution ceremony. An auction of sports items also took place to raise funds to make the event self-sustaining. Dr. Muhammad Khalid Ejaz, Acting Consul General of Pakistan, was the guest of honor on the occasion and gave away the prizes. The ceremony was also attended by local and city officials and politicians.  

Dr Ejaz appreciated the efforts of the Pakistani- American Association of Colorado (PAAC) for organizing such an event. He said the Association was working in the right direction as it has involved young Pakistani-Americans and members of other communities in its various social and cultural events. The President of PAAC thanked Dr Ejaz for taking time out to travel to Denver and meet the Pakistani-American community and local academics and politicians. He also thanked Mr. Jaffar Hussain, Consular Attaché of Consulate General of Pakistan, Los Angeles, for organizing a successful Consular Camp at Denver.
