Dr. Mohiuddin Waseem Elected ACP Fellow

Modesto , CA: Dr Mohiuddin Waseem, MD, CWS, FACP, an internist and wound specialist practicing in Modesto, has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP), the society of internists. The distinction recognizes achievements in internal medicine, the specialty of adult medical care.

Dr. Waseem was elected on the recommendation of peers and the review of ACP’s Credentials Subcommittee. He may now use the letters “FACP” after his name in recognition of this honor.

Dr. Waseem is affiliated with Gould Medical Group and Sutter Gould Medical Foundation. He is certified in internal medicine and wound care by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Academy of Wound Management respectively. He is a member of the Stanislaus Medical Society and a fellow of the American College of Certified Wound Specialists.

A native of Pakistan, Dr. Waseem earned a medical degree from Dow Medical College, Karachi and completed his residency at Cook County Hospital, Chicago. As he has special interest in diabetic foot wounds he pursued subspecialty training in endocrinology and received certification in chronic wound care.

The American College of Physicians is the second-largest physician group in the United States. Membership includes more than 129,000 internists, related subspecialists, and medical students. Internists are specialists in the prevention, detection, and treatment of illnesses in adults.
