Los Angeles Pakistani Community Welcomes the New Consul General

Pictures above: Members of the Pakistani-American community in Los Angeles welcome Consul General Mrs Riffat Masood

The Council of Pakistan American Affairs, COPAA, along with a host of prominent Pakistanis from the vibrant Los Angeles community held a dinner in honor of the new Consul General Mrs. Riffat Masood at Westin LAX on September 27th, 2010. COPAA’s president, Adnan Khan, welcomed the new Consul General and urged Pakistanis not to forget the plight of the Pakistanis affected by the floods. Among those who spoke were Ismail Keekeebhai, Shaista Khan, Anila Ali, and Leslie Marshall. In her speech, Dr.Meher Tabatabai praised the Pakistani community and welcomed the Consul General.

In her speech Mrs. Riffat Masood assured the community of her commitment to service.

All in all, it was a highly enjoyable evening.
