Interfaith Peace Vigil on Sept 11
An interfaith peace vigil is being observed on Saturday, September 11 between 11.30 am to 1.30 pm at the Islamic Center of Southern California ( 434 S. Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles).
An email message received from Mr. Adnan Khan, President, Council of Pakistani American Affairs (COPAA), states:
As groups of people have been funded to burn the Qur’an on September 11- 2010, we will send out a message of unity and interfaith by holding a rally at the Islamic Center of Southern California, Vermont, Los Angeles. LAPD Chief will attend the rally along with members of the Justice Department, DEA and Sheriff. Dr Muzammil Siddiqi and Dr Meher Hathout will also attend it.
Congresswoman and men will attend and leaders of Muslim, Jewish and Christian faith will be part of it.
Help us all spread the word and gather a large crowd to show that Muslim Americans are a group of people who stand tall with fellow Americans and are as patriotic as any other American.
