27th Foundation Day Celebrations of MQM in Los Angeles
Los Angeles: The 27th Foundation Day of MQM was celebrated in Los Angeles at the Red Chili Restaurant in Northridge.
The event was attended by workers and supporters of MQM Los Angeles along with a general representation from the community. The event was also attended by Member Central Organizing Committee, MQM USA Wasim Zaidi.
The proceedings started with the Chapter In charge Abdul Lateef congratulating workers and supporters of MQM on the auspicious occasion of the Foundation Day followed by the speeches from California In-charge Samin Faruqi and member Central Organizing Committee MQMUSA Wasim Zaidi who briefly itemized the engagements in Los Angeles. They reiterated that the philosophy and ideas of Mr. Altaf Hussain are the last glimmer of hope for the poor and middle class people of the country.
Highlighting the significance of 18th March Kamal Zafar, Central Organizer MQMUSA, underlined the philosophy behind the formation of MQM. He said that the organization that started with the APMSO and transformed into MQM has now spread throughout the country. 18 March is the day on which a movement for truth and righteousness was founded and it becomes MQM workers and the people to celebrate this day.
The event was also attended by prominent community members including Jamal Khawaja, Arshad Kazmi and Zafar Abbas. Mr. Jamal Khawaja congratulated MQM founder and leader Altaf Hussain on this occasion and complimented him for employing a robust and dedicated team in MQMUSA. Congratulating MQM workers and supporters Shakil Siddiqui, a renowned Pakistani stage comedian, said that Mr. Altaf Hussain carried forward his struggles despite a sea of problems and it is because of his untiring efforts that the oppressed and downtrodden people are joining MQM in large numbers.
