Farida Barye spoke briefly about the much needed services that Niswa provides to South Asian women in Los Angeles. "Niswa is a one-of-a-kind organization. We recently embarked on an ambitious plan to provide long-term sustainability and financial stability to Niswa by purchasing a building. It will serve as an additional shelter for women and provide rental income. Our goal is to raise enough funds to pay off the building in the next 6 months, " said Farida Barye.

Arshia Ghani and Rukhsana Mohammed also commended Dr. Ibrahim and related funny anecdotes about her to the audience. They described her as a mentor, leader, and the "heart and soul" of Niswa.
