Glimpses of the Annual Haleem Party hosted by Pakistan Club LA

Pakistan Club Los Angeles, formerly Karachi Club, hosted its Annual Haleem party at the Garden Grove Park in Westminster, CA, on March 6.

The Garden Grove Park, a familiar place, once again became a favorite GPS entry for motoring public as they headed for the enticing Haleem in town. Continuing its tradition of 14 years the members of Pakistan Club hosted the annual Haleem cook out. A crowd of about 2200 (largest by far) representing all walks of life in the Pakistani community showed up to support the event that has become hallmark of Pakistan Club Los Angeles.

Pakistan Club’s President Samin Faruqi along with Wasim Zaidi greeted the guests in the company of their committed and energetic team of Abdul Lateef, Shahzad Hussain, Kashif Qureshi, Nasir Rao, Mrs. Rubina Faruqi, Syed Wajid, Syed Nabeel and Neelofar Zaidi.

Outlining the vision of the organization, he invited every Pakistani to join hands with the club in servicing the community and asked the audience to come forward with their suggestions to enhance the Club’s goals of community outreach. There were several prominent persons who graced the occasion, including Mrs. Riffat Masood, Consul General, Consulate General of Pakistan, Los Angeles and Mr. Kamal Zafar, Central Organizer MQMUSA.

The delicious haleem dish is served in the best Pakistani traditions to the delight of the community members every year. Pakistan Club USA, Los Angeles thanked members of the community for their support and dedication.
