Urdu Markaz International to Hold Mazahia Mushaira

Urdu Markaz International, Inc, Los Angeles is organizing a literary event on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Momin Lodge (1918 Artesia Blvd. Torrance, CA 90504).

Dinner will be served between 8:00 and 9:00 pm sharp. The event will start at 9:15 pm with a short speech by Dr. Mohammad Khalid Ejaz, Consul of Pakistan Consulate, Los Angeles, who will pay a tribute to Allama Iqbal on his death anniversary. The speech will be followed by a Mazahia Mushaira.

The poets who will present their kalam on the occasion include Khalid Irfan from New York, Ejaz Hussain from New Jersey and Maqsad Illahabadi from Detroit. A few selected local poets will also present their kalam.

“We are sure that this event will provide a few hours of nice relaxation from the frustration and stress these days. Please do spare some time and come to the Mushaira to fulfill your thirst for poetry and get real enjoyment,” the Urdu Markaz International officials say in a message.
