CAIR-LA’s 16th Anniversary Banquet on November 3

The 16th Anniversary Banquet commemorating Council on American-Islamic Relations, Greater Los Angeles Area (CAIR-LA) will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

According to an announcement, CAIR-LA’s 16th Anniversary “is an opportunity to reflect on CAIR-LA’s work and impact since its founding in 1996, gain awareness of the challenges that you help us to address, and engage with community and friends for a memorable evening.

“This year’s theme is “Upholding Our Constitution, Defending Our Faith,” and it underscores the need to continually assert the voices and contributions of American Muslims in the progress of our nation.

“We are excited to welcome Michael Ratner, Esq., a leading voice on civil liberties and human rights and President Emeritus of the NY-based Center for Constitutional Rights. Additionally, we are thrilled to welcome once again Imam Siraj Wahhaj, Religious Director of Masjid At-Taqwa in New York and Leader of the Muslim Alliance in North America…”
