Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Generator for Saba Home

With temperatures rising and frequent electricity outages owing to the load- shedding operations, Saba Home girls were having a most excruciating time. I discussed their plight with my brothers Mr. Stanley Wan and Mr. Peter Sackley from the Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It did not take them long to come up with a solution: they willingly agreed to provide Saba Trust with a large, good quality generator. It is so large Masha Allah that it can support multiple air conditioners in addition to keeping fans and all basic necessities running.

This is not the first that our friends from the Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - Mr. Stanley Wan and Mr. Peter Sackley - have come to our rescue with great promptitude.

The weather in Pakistan was unbearably hot and besides the girls our office work too suffered considerably: someone working on a large project would lose all data due to a sudden electricity shutdown (so-called load-shedding). We were forced to lose a great deal of time in the office because of this problem. The Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints not only provided the generator erator but also made arrangements to purchase a device that automatically switches on the load to the generator. The small generator we had previously did not have this provision and required manual switching which was a source of inconvenience and resulted in wastage of time.

Saba Homes, a home for orphan girls, is not an orphanage. Here the girls are treated and loved like daughters. They are provided with the best facilities and are sent to the best English-medium school for learning and education. A home filled with love and affection like no other. It is truly unique as it has changed the conventional concept of orphanages and has brought about a revolution.

Over the years, Saba Trust has strived to achieve the best for these girls and fulfill their needs. Pakistan and the entire world should rightly be proud of such an institution where orphan girls are treated like family members. They are taught discipline and learn to give love and respect to every human being irrespective of his or her religion, color, caste or creed. Mama and Papa do their best to provide the girls a better living but frequent power shutdowns have been a source of constant torture and they were really worried about them but Allah SWT blessed them with friends from the Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

When I, Mr. Stanley Wan and Mr. Peter Sackley from the Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints were having a conference call, I brought up the problem relating to our sound system. Presently, we have only a Mickey Mouse sound system and when we have programs it is difficult for the audience to properly listen to the proceedings because of the poor quality of the system. I told them that there was a lot of echo and that was a cause of disturbance to the listeners. They asked me to give them a few days to work out a remedy. It did not take them long and soon I received a surprising e-mail which said that they had approved the necessary amount for the purchase of a sound system which I had requested and they would be sending us the money the very same day that I got the e-mail. We are grateful to our bothers Mr. Stanley Wan and Mr. Peter Sackley. We now have one of the best sound systems. – Saghir Aslam, Founder and President, Saba Trust Homes.
