Pakistani-Americans Express Solidarity with CJ, Urge Nizami & Sufi to Resign "In Protest"

Washington, DC: The Pakistan American Democratic Forum (PADF), a grassroots organization founded in 1982 in support of Movement for Restoration of Democracy (MRD), has called on fellow Pakistani-Americans to actively support the Supreme Court‘ instructions to the interim government to initiate legal action against General Musharraf under article 6 of the Constitution.
The PADF has also condemned the "cowardly noncompliance" of the Khoso regime.
In expressing its full support for the Supreme Court of Pakistan and its venerable chief, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, the PADF has urged the two interim ministers, namely Mr Arif Nizami, the Information Minister, and Mr Ahmer Bilal Sufi, the Law Minster, to disassociate themselves from the Enhanced NRO by resigning from the puppet Khoso government to reconfirm their commitment to and their unflinching support for the rule of law.
The PADF statement, in part, reads:
“We urge Pakistani-Americans to continue their informed involvement in four areas:
1) “Continue providing informed and principled support for the SC decisions against the former military dictator, Gen Pervez Musharraf as well as the corrupt politicians, land mafia, conniving generals and the sellout journalists.
2)“Deploy all creative, legal and moral means of conveying your moral outrage against the literally absence conduct of Mr Irfan Qadir, the Attorney General, who has overruled the Law Minister's publicly stated intention to comply with the Supreme Court's instruction to appoint a federal secretary to formally charge Gen Musharraf under Article 6.
3) “Vigilantly follow multiple - multidimensional - cases against Gen Pervez Musharraf to ensure fairness and transparency, at one level, and to ensure that those found guilty are punished to the full extent of the law, at the other.
 4) “Continue demanding that the Interim Prime Minister Khoso must immediately send a letter to President Obama and launch a fresh, multi-pronged, diplomatic initiative to negotiate Dr Aafia's release.
General Musharraf's Foreign Minister, Mr Khurshid Kasuri, has recently confessed
the complicity of the Musharraf regime in kidnapping and handing over Dr Aafia to the US government, and has apologized for his own involvement in this abominable act, stating "I'm so sorry for handing over the innocent Dr Aafia Siddiqui to the Americans. It was my biggest mistake ever."
