Pakistan Parliamentary Delegation Meets Community Members in Los Angeles

A parliamentary delegation currently touring the United States paid a visit to Los Angeles recently. At a reception hosted in their honor by Consul General Tasawar Khan members of the delegation had an opportunity to have a free exchange of views with the leading lights of the Pakistani community in Los Angeles. Besides usual pleasantries and speeches, a lively question-and-answer session ensued and was the highlight of the evening. The concern of the community for the security and welfare of the home country, repeatedly aired by the invitees, were duly noted by the parliamentary delegation. Mr Jhagra applauded the community 's sincere strivings to help improve the lot of the common man in Pakistan.

The six members of the delegation were drawn from several parties - PML-N, PPP, PTI, ANP, and MQM. They included Zafar Iqbal Jhagra (PML-N), Shafquat Mehmood (Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf) ,Sardar Arshad Khan Leghari, Rehan Hashmi (Muttahida Qaumi Movement), Qamar Zaman Kaira (Pakistan Peoples Party), and Amir Haider Hoti (ANP) .
