Mowahid’s Book is Amazon Best Seller on Pakistan Day

Author Mowahid Hussain Shah’s book, “Will & Skill,” launched recently in Islamabad, Lahore, and Washington, DC, and now in e-version, was posted on Amazon for free download to honor Pakistan Day on March 23.  The Kindle version of the book, normally sold through Amazon for $ 7.86, explores a host of issues affecting the tumultuous post-9/11 world including reasons for the gap in Western-Muslim world relations. On March 23, the book zoomed to first place on Amazon’s Best Seller List in its category.

Readers do not need to have a Kindle to download and read the book, as it can be also read on a PC, Mac, iPad, or iPhone.

“It’s a small tribute to the momentous struggle that hit a crucial landmark on March 23, 1940 and culminated with the inception of Pakistan on August 14, 1947,” said Mowahid, who is an attorney-at-law and Member of the US Supreme Court Bar and former Member of the Punjab Cabinet. At a time when voices were stilled, Mowahid was particularly notable in publicly opposing the attack on Iraq.

Acclaimed international relations specialists, Mideast policy experts, and noted public figures have praised the book for its clarity and practical insight into some of the most defining issues of the 21st century.

The book, “Will & Skill”, according to the reputed Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, “offers original ideas and solutions to improve Western-Muslim relations.”

According to Professor Ishtiaq Ahmed of Stockholm University “Will & Skill is an erudite, very readable, and a most informative collection of essays, which express the concerns and hopesof a caring human being and an intellectual for Muslims and Pakistan… Shah's review of the life conditions of the people of Pakistan is very emotional indeed and suffused with sincere best wishes for their progress and consolidation as a modern nation.
