Sr. Rabia Patel Passes away
The Muslim community of Southern California is mourning the loss of one of its most respected members, Sr. Rabia Patel, who passed away on Monday at the San Dimas Hospital owing to multiple medical complications. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'oon Sr. Rabia Patel was the loving wife of the late Br. Khizer Patel, beloved mother of Shakil, Sohail, Shakir, Shaheen and Shabana, and a very caring and considerate mother-in-law of Dr. Naim Patel and Br. Mushir Khan. Sr. Rabia Patel was also blessed with thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. May Allah rest her soul in eternal peace in Jannah and give her entire family fortitude and courage to bear the loss. My heartfelt condolences and sincere prayers are with the entire family during this most difficult time in their life. Funeral prayers for Sr. Rabia Patel were held Tuesday, the 8th of July, 2014 after Dhuhr prayers at The Islamic Society of Orange County, Garden Grove. Burial took place in the Westminster Memorial Park. - Rafique Ahmed
