Massachusetts Muslim Delegates at DNC
By Tahir Ali

Philadelphia: On July 27, Muslim delegates from Massachusetts - Homaira Naseem, Nazda Alam, Noman Khanani accompanied by Khalid Naseem, Dr Tariq Ali and I - stood in line to get into the DNC to watch President Obama speak. We all got good seats. On July 28, we found ourselves waiting in line to hear Hillary Rodham Clinton speak.
The highlight was a luncheon where AMA gave the Malcolm X Award to Rev. Jesse Jackson. Dr Agha Saeed got a lifetime achievement award. Speakers included Congressmen McGovern of Massachusetts, Keith Ellison, Andre Carson. The Naseems' and I were on the same table.
Voice of America interviewed us and recorded the event, GEO of Pakistan interviewed the delegates, WBUR did likewise.
