Rahimyar Khan: Attempt to blow up gas pipeline foiled
RAHIMYAR KHAN: Police here foiled an attempt to blow up the main gas pipeline near Bhong by arresting three accused and recovered nine kilogram of explosives from them on Sunday here, Geo News reported.
District police officer, Sohail Zafar Chatta in press conference told that the police today thwarted an attempt to blow up gas pipeline running near Bhong and arrested three suspects from near the pipeline, who on the sight of the police started firing to run away, but they were arrested after retaliatory police action. Nine kilograms of explosive materials, electric circuit, remote control and weapons were recovered from them, police said.
During the investigation, it was revealed that they wanted to blow up the gas pipeline and they had blown up gas pipeline twice earlier.
DPO claimed that the accused belong to Baloch Liberation Army.
