88 Pakistani prisoners released from Indian jails in 2013-14

 

ISLAMABAD: After the successful negotiations, Islamabad has brought back 88 prisoners from India between 2013 and 2014, an Interior Ministry official told the state-run media on Sunday. According to the official, 66 prisoners were released from Indian jails in 2013 and 22 in 2014. Six Pakistani prisoners also came back from Afghanistan with efforts of the government, he added. These Pakistani nationals were detained on the charges of overstay and other minor crimes, he said. To a question, the official replied Pakistan and India were bound to exchange the lists of prisoners with each other.
