Provincial govts, giant organizations do not pay bills: Khwaja Asif
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Khwaja Asif has alleged that provincial governments and other giant organizations do not pay electricity bills, Geo News reported.
The minister was talking to media on the occasion of a meeting of Pakistan-China working group in Islamabad here Tuesday. He said the provincial governments also opposed deduction dues from their funds.
He said power theft addiction is continuing for 65 years.
Khwaja Asif said Pakistan will overcome energy crisis with Chinese assistance, adding 21,000 MW power projects would be launched.
Load shedding will become a past nightmare, he said and added that 6000 to 7000MW electricity projects would be initiated from this year and would be completed till 2017.
