Pakistan attaches high importance to ties with Spain: president
APPISLAMABAD – President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday said that Pakistan attached great importance to its relations with Spain, both bilaterally and as a member of the European Union.
Talking to Pakistan's Ambassador to Spain Rafat Mahdi here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, the president stressed the need to encourage parliamentary interaction between the two countries to further strengthen their relationship. He also underscored that visits at the level of political leadership could provide a fresh impetus to bilateral cooperation. He stressed that efforts be made to invite the Spanish companies to invest in various sectors of Pakistan, including energy, infrastructure and agriculture.
He expressed that the hope that the ambassador would make efforts to further cement the relations between the two countries. He also wished the ambassador success in all his initiatives and endeavours in national interest.
