PM leaves for Turkey to discuss Yemen crisis
Nawaz says Pakistan believes in peaceful resolution of crisis in Yemen

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif left here on a day long official visit to discuss with Turkish leadership the situation in Yemen and to find ways for a peaceful resolution of the crisis.

During his visit, the prime minister would meet Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. “Main purpose of his visit is to consult brotherly Islamic country on the current crisis in the Middle East,” a statement from the Prime Minister’s House said. In a pre-departure statement the prime minister said that Pakistan believes in peaceful resolution of the crisis and wishes to promote unity among the Muslim Ummah.

The prime minister expressed the hope that his sincere efforts may result in promoting harmony and stability in the Middle East. He regarded bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkey as unparalleled in terms of mutual trust, understanding and close cooperation. Adviser on National and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, the special assistant on foreign affairs and secretary foreign Affairs were accompanying the prime minister.
