Nabil regrets joining MQM, says wants to serve Lyari again

KARACHI – Nabil Gabol, who resigned from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in February this year, said on Saturday that he would join any political party suggested to him by the people of Lyari.
He made these remarks during a visit to Lyari – a stronghold of the PPP – where he received a warm welcome. Talking to journalists, he said that joining the MQM was his mistake, adding he was eager to serve the people of Lyari again.
Referring to upcoming by-polls in NA-246 constituency, the seat that fell vacant due to his resignation, he said that the constituency is being ruled by the criminals. “Governor’s Rule could be imposed and elections may get postponed if any untoward incident takes place,” he commented.
Gabol said that he can also form a new party to serve the people of Lyari instead of joining the PPP. He added that he could join the PPP if Asif Zardari got rid of ‘rotten eggs’ from the party. “MNAs and MPAs of Lyari are Uzair Baloch's people not of Zardari’s,” he added.
