MULTAN – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Thursday the party would accept findings of Judicial Commission about the general election 2013.

Talking to journalists, he said that about 23 parties had so far submitted their complaints regarding the alleged rigging. He expressed the hope that the issue would be thoroughly probed by the commission. To a question he said that the PTI was supportive of peaceful political solution to Yemen issue. He said that the parliament had taken a united stance on the issue, which should be observed to find a political solution to the issue.

He hoped this month's by-poll in Karachi would be held in a peaceful and smooth manner. However, he pinpointed the specific role of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) as it should have withdrawn its candidate in favour of the PTI. He said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had been showing similar gesture of compromise with the JI in the past. He said the PTI also supported JI's candidate in recent Senate election. As far as by-poll election of PP-196, Multan was concerned, he said the party was in constant consultation with other stakeholders before finalising a candidate to the constituency.

Talking about Local Bodies (LB) election in Pakistan, he said that the PTI already had announced such election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He said he was leaving for Dera Ghazi Khan on Thursday and would visit Bahawalpur on Friday to hold consultation for Local Body polls.
