NewsSecretary ECP to review NA-246 preparations in Karachi tomorrow
KARACHI: Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will be leaving for Karachi on Friday to visit the NA-246 constituency tomorrow to review the preparations for the by-elections scheduled for April 23.
According to sources, the ballot papers printing has also been completed.
A high level meeting will also be chaired by Secretary Babar Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad tomorrow , while he will be meeting with the NA-246 candidates as well.
A day earlier, it was announced that the police had devised a security plan for the upcoming by-elections as authorities feared clashes between political parties.
According to the security plan, 7,300 policemen will be deployed throughout the constituency, while 202 police vehicles will also be deployed on the day of polling.
