Pak, Afghan army chiefs discuss regional security matters

RAWALPINDI – Afghan National Army Chief of General Staff Gen Sher Mohammad Karimi visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) today and called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif.
During the meeting, matters related to peace and stability in the region, especially in Afghanistan, Pak-Afghan border management and measures to further enhance defence and training cooperation between both the armies were discussed.
Earlier, on arrival at the General Headquarters (GHQ), a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented Guard of Honour to the dignitary. General Sher Mohammad Karimi also laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha for the martyrs.
It may be mentioned here that General Sher Mohammad Karimi will be the chief guest at the passing out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA Kakul), and will also address the parade on Saturday.
