Xi Jinping's visit to open new vistas of Pak-China cooperation: Sartaj

ISLAMABAD - Adviser to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Saturday said that Chinese President Xi Jinping's upcoming visit would open new vistas of economic cooperation between Pakistan and China.

Talking to the media, Sartaj said the Chinese investment companies would sign energy projects worth $35 billion, adding that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project reflects development-oriented vision of the Chinese and Pakistani leadership.

The adviser said that the corridor would help change the fate of the entire region besides Pakistan. Sartaj Aziz said Pakistan and China have further cemented their already strong and cordial relations in diverse fields and this visit would be the climax of Pak-China friendship.

Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on April 20. This will be the Chinese president’s first foreign visit of 2015.
