Dr Asim gets permission for treatment
By ONLINE

Karachi: An accountability court in Karachi has given permission to former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain to get treatment on his own expenditure.

A medical team had advised Dr Asim to undergo physiotherapy and other medical tests after he complained about his precarious health condition.

Over this he approached the court to allow him to take medical treatment on his own expenditure.

Meanwhile, the former minister has filed a bail plea in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in a case registered against him for allegedly helping in providing treatment to terrorists in his hospital.

His counsel, while filing the bail plea took the plea that his client neither provided treatment to any terrorist nor facilitated any terrorist. “My client is being subjected to victimization. The investigation officer has declared him innocent but he was being arraigned in the case. No evidence has been furnished by the prosecution. Therefore his bail plea should be accepted,” he prayed the court.

The court accepted the bail plea for hearing.
