We too know road to Bani Gala: PML-N

By: APP

OKARA: Federal Minister for Railways Kawaja Saad Rafiq said on Friday that the PML-N government had inherited many problems, including weak economy, terrorism, load-shedding and poor law and order situation but the “prudent policies” of the government had not only restored peace in the country, including in Karachi and Balochistan, but also put it on the road to progress and prosperity. Speaking at a function held in connection with inauguration of reconstruction work of Okara Railway Station, he said the present government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has succeeded in bringing about economic turnaround and development projects were being carried out in all sectors, including energy, health, education, highways and railways. Criticising Imran Khan for his “politics of allegations”, he said that “instead of abusing others”, the PTI chief should work for national development and prosperity and come up to the expectations of those who gave votes to his party. “If metro project can be completed in Punjab then why not in Peshawar!” Saad remarked, adding that the present government had started many power projects to end power load-shedding. About overhauling of railways, he said the government is working on war footing to make it a profit-earning institution, and a number of steps have been taken in this connection.
