Taking sides with Nawaz to harm PPP: Aitzaz
ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the Senate Aitzaz Ahsan on Tuesday said chief aim of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s upcoming visit to London is to meet PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari instead of a medical examination.
“Nawaz Sharif is going to appear in the court of Asif Ali Zardari, not for a medical check up.I will convey my opinion to co-chairman that taking sides with Nawaz Sharif this time around will harm PPP," he said while talking to media.
The PPP stalwart said Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has confirmed that Mayfair apartment was owned by Nawaz Sharif. “Why didn’t he declare these apartments in his assets details, if he does not hide his assets, he said.
The PPP leader further said he is ready to presents himself for accountability by any of Nisar’s subordinates but the interior minister should also disclose details of his assets and taxes.
A spokesman for the PM House, however, said the prime minister is going to London for medical checkup, and he would not meet any PPP leader there.
