‘PTI's call for protest unjustified after letter to SC’

Call for protest similar to a pot calling the kettle black, says CM

LAHORE – Responding to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s address, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the PTI’s call for protest – even after the government had written a letter to the Supreme Court (SC) as per the party s demand – was unjustified.

According to a private TV channel, he said that this call for protest was similar to a pot calling the kettle black. The chief minister further stated that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had presented himself for accountability. Meanwhile other senior leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) also expressed their thoughts on PTI chairman s address.

In an interview with channel, Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique declared imran’s speech as a pack of lies and disappointing. He added that the PTI chief’s sole purpose was to gain power. On the other hand, Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid stated that the PTI chairman’s lies have always been exposed in front of the prime minister’s honesty.

He added that the government’s brave and daring decisions had made Khan a mental patient. The Panama Leaks issue still remains a bone of contention between the government and the opposition. Imran, in his address PTI’s 20th Foundation Day ceremony at Islamabad’s F-9 Park, said that the prime minister will have to go as he has no moral authority to rule the country any longer.
