Iran to hold trade exhibition in Pakistan

KARACHI: Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost said Iran will hold an exhibition in Karachi this year to show the large scale of products manufactured by Iran.

On the first day of his two-day visit to Karachi, Honardoost met with the Governor Sindh, Ishrat ul Ebad Khan and Chief Executive of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), S.M Muneer.

Meeting Sindh governor, Honardoost was of the view that there were some elements that were trying to create misunderstandings but both the countries very wisely frustrated such machinations.

He said that the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline was in the interest of both the countries. Pakistan will get adequate gas with cheaper rates and industrial production would thus increase.

Governor Sindh, Ishrat ul Ebad Khan also said Pakistan and Iran enjoy deep friendly ties which are growing further with the passage of time.

Governor said that Pakistan and Iran are cooperating in various fields. He stated that both the countries have important role in the Muslim Ummah and by enhancing their cooperation further the two countries can play effective role at the international level.

Meanwhile Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan held a meeting with Chief Executive of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), S.M Muneer. In the meeting the envoy said Iran offers many opportunities for Pakistani businesses.

He said Iran would be holding a single country exhibition in September this year in Karachi.
