Pakistani-American Kumail Nanjiani wins CinemaCon ‘Star of the Year Award’
LAS VEGAS: Kumail Nanjiani, famous for his role in the award-winning show ‘Silicon Valley’ as Dinesh has just received ‘Comedy Star of the Year Award’ at CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards.The ceremony was held at Caesers Palace in Las Vegas, which is a formal convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO).
Other than his role in Silicon Valley, the Pakistani-American comedian, Nanjiani has played roles in movies like First Fight, Mike and Dave Needs Wedding Dates in which he gave one of the most memorable massages of all time," says CinemaCon Managing Director, Mitch Neuhauser.
Nanjiani continues to make audiences laugh with his unique sense of humor and charisma. We couldn’t be more delighted to be honoring him as our CinemaCon ‘Comedy Star of the Year’, he said.
Kumail Nanjiani has been in the field for a while now. He is currently working on his rom-com, The Big Sick which is mainly about his relationship with his wife Emily Gordon.
