Hurdles be removed to facilitate investors, says PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed the authorities concerned to remove impediments and provide all kinds of facilities to investors in Pakistan.

Nawaz Sharif directed preparation of a comprehensive code of procedure for smooth progress of domestic and foreign investment in setting up of business in the country. He asked all ministries and attached departments to take required steps for procedural codes to be followed by investors for investment. The process devised for ease of business should be notified for public information.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has issued a statement pertaining to the directives of Nawaz Sharif on Saturday that states that all such processes and transactions should be identified to streamline certifications, approvals, licences, permits or similar instruments.

The prime minister directed that all steps involved in the process should be clearly laid down so that investors should not face hindrances.
