Pakistan will not allow its soil to be used against any country: Aizaz Chaudhry

WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s Ambassador to United States Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry said that Pakistan will not allow its soil to be used against any country.

We hope soil of any other country will also not be used against Pakistan, he added.

“It is need of the hour to ensure peace and security in the whole region and elimination of safe havens of terrorists in Afghanistan,” Aizaz Chaudhry said while talking to Pakistani media in Washington.

There is no military solution to Afghanistan conflict, whenever there is instability in Afghanistan Pakistan suffers from it, he said.

“Pakistan sincerely wants to become part of all efforts for peace and stability in Afghanistan,” he added.

Chaudhry went on saying that both Pakistan and US worked and would work together to establish peace in Afghanistan.

Pakistan is not fighting war against terrorism for someone else but eradication of terrorism is in its own interest, the country is determined to flush out terrorists from its soil, he remarked.

He further added that Pakistan has good bilateral relations with China but ties with US were also important.
